Punarnava / Vaidyagrama Family
"creating a green sustainable healing community based on the principles of Ayurveda and natural farming"
The Punarnava / vaidyagrama family comprises of a group of institutions with the primary objective of “creating a green sustainable healing community based on the principles of Ayurveda and natural farming”. This community proposes to include around 15 existing villages and around 12000 people into moving into a space where there is much sharing, much togetherness, more healing and more happiness - primarily a need based healing community rather than a greed based transactional community.
The activities undertaken by this group towards the above vision include:
Natural farming including growing of trees, shrubs, herbs, vegetables, grains, fruits and all that is required for being self-sustained with regard to food needs - working towards bringing 70% of the surround land under the cover of agro-forestry
Education and awareness within the community about Ayurveda, Yoga, environment, fine arts, performing arts, spirituality and all other subjects which actively contribute to creating a healing environment
Building passion for the achievement of higher purposes in life and not being restricted by the base needs of food, clothing and shelter
Vaidyagrama is an experimental, green, Ayurveda healing community born of the desire to live simple, live well, live healthy, and live happy.
We believe in being in tune with nature by using the principles of Ayurveda, a holistic and alternative form of medicine that focuses on the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, and environmental well-being of our patients.
Currently, Vaidyagrama includes a hospital, a learning facility, an ashram, a spa, and an eco-friendly healing environment in the outskirts of Coimbatore, India.
