Punarnava Healing Community Inc. is a non-profit organisation as certified by the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)3, and incorporated in Cambridge, MA, USA
Currently, we are the sole international subsidiary of the Punarnava Ayurveda Trust, a public charitable trust registered in India (punarnava.org), which is focused on improving the health, education and welfare of villagers in Thirumalayampalayam Panchayat near Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India.
Our goal is to extend our community development and outreach support to other parts of India and the world.
All funds collected by Punarnava Healing Community will be transferred to Punarnava Ayurveda Trust.
Board of Directors
Punarnava Healing Community Inc. is managed by a Board of Directors comprising of Dr Ramkumar Kutty (India), Shri Deepak Singh (USA) & Shrimati Geetha Mohandas (India).
Dr. Ramkumar Kutty
Dr. Ramkumar is a Founder-Director of Punarnava Ayurveda, an institution committed to Authentic Ayurveda for Universal Well-Being. He is a lifelong student of Ayurveda and other traditional Indian knowledge systems.
Over the last 15 years, he has given talks and conducted workshops in the Americas, Africa, Europe, Australia and SouthEast
Asia propagating health and happiness through Ayurveda.
Punarnava Ayurveda is currently engaged in the creation of an experimental green self-sustaining authentic Ayurveda
healing community on the outskirts of Coimbatore in South India. This village is working towards adhering to the principles
of authentic Ayurveda and vastu; and will also engage in natural farming, use of alternate energy sources, waste recycling,
environment friendly construction, water management and so on – the idea is to create an “optimum healing environment”.
The village has commenced functioning in a small way with 36 patient units – it is called “vaidyagrāma”.
Deepak Singh, Owner, Spiritual Journeys, Inc., was born in New Delhi, India, and worked and lived in North & South India, England and the USA building his career as an engineer. After working as an engineer for over twenty years, he began pursuing his passion to foster personal and cultural growth of others. He is the grandson of HH Maharaja Ranbir Singh, of Jind in the Punjab in India.
In 1993, Deepak helped launch more than 150 products related to alternative (Ayurveda) healthcare products and set up teacher-training and certification programs. He is President of several companies owned by the author and public-speaker, Dr. Deepak Chopra. He has promoted and managed more than 50 multi-day, multi-hundred people conferences and then worked to facilitate the cultural and spiritual growth of individuals by arranging discretionary travel services to Cambodia, India and Thailand for hundreds of people from tens of countries.
Geetha Mohandas is one of the directors of Punarnava Healing Community Inc, USA.
Geetha is a retired Bank Manager, who took voluntary retirement from a nationalized bank in India after serving the bank for 31 years.
She co-ordinates all the activities of Punarnava Ayurveda Trust and Vaidyagrāma Community Trust in India.
